Itinerary

Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, your driver will be waiting to pick you up. Transfer straight to your hotel in the Old Quarter and check in. Take some time to rest or explore the area before the evening activity.

Meet your private guide at the hotel for a walking food tour through Hanoi’s buzzing Old Quarter. You’ll sample a mix of classic and lesser-known local dishes — from pho (noodle soup), banh cuon (steamed rolled rice pancake), bun cha, egg coffee, and more.

The guide will take you to street stalls, hidden alleys, and local favorites, sharing stories behind each bite. It’s a tasty and relaxed way to dive into Hanoi’s culture on your first evening.

Dinner

A comfortable limousine bus picks you up from your hotel and heads northwest to Sapa. The ride takes around 5.5 hours, with a couple of short rest stops along the way. Arrive in Sapa town by late morning.

Breakfast

After lunch in Sapa, start your guided trek into the Muong Hoa Valley. The route takes you downhill to Y Linh Ho, across suspension bridges, and through peaceful rice terraces surrounded by mountains. You’ll visit Lao Chai, a Hmong village, before continuing to Ta Van village — home to the Giay minority.

Lunch

Enjoy a warm local dinner and overnight at a homestay, where you may even join your host in cooking.

Dinner

After breakfast, continue trekking to Giang Ta Chai village, passing through Red Dao communities, forest paths, and a scenic waterfall. Learn more about ethnic cultures and rural life along the way. Have lunch at a small family-run restaurant in the village.

Breakfast, Lunch

After the trek, head back to Sapa town and board your return bus to Hanoi. The journey takes about 5.5 hours, with a couple of quick stops. Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi in the evening and rest up for the next day’s cruise.

Get picked up from your hotel in a shared shuttle or limousine bus. Travel east to Halong International Port, where you’ll board your Bai Tu Long Bay cruise.

After a short wait at the lounge, you’ll be transferred by tender to the cruise ship. Enjoy a welcome drink and safety briefing before settling into your cabin.

Have a Vietnamese set menu lunch while cruising into the quieter areas of Bai Tu Long Bay, known for its peaceful views and fewer crowds.

Lunch

Arrive at Cap La Island, where you can kayak through limestone karsts or go for a swim in the calm bay waters. It’s a chance to enjoy nature up close.

Return to the boat and enjoy a drink on deck as the sun sets. Chat with fellow travelers or relax before dinner.

Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner onboard. Afterwards, try your hand at squid fishing, play a board game, or simply unwind under the stars.

Dinner

Start the day with a Tai Chi session on deck, followed by breakfast. Then head out to explore Thien Canh Son Cave, a quiet cave with stalactites and nice bay views. You’ll also have time to relax on a small beach at Hon Co Island.

Breakfast

Return to the boat, check out, and join a traditional cooking class before enjoying a final Vietnamese lunch on board.

FAQ

How challenging is the trek in Sapa?

The trek is moderate — around 4-5.5 hours per day with some uphill sections and uneven terrain. It’s suitable for anyone with basic fitness. If you're unsure, we can adapt the route or arrange a shorter version.

Is the street food tour safe for sensitive stomachs?

Yes, your guide will only take you to trusted vendors with good hygiene. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

The tour operates rain or shine. Trekking can be adjusted if needed, and rain jackets are recommended. Kayaking and cave visits in Halong Bay may depend on sea conditions, but alternatives will be arranged if needed.

Can I customize this tour (e.g. finish in Ninh Binh or add a day)?

Yes, we can adjust the drop-off point or add extra nights in Hanoi, Halong, or Ninh Binh. Just let us know your preferences when booking.
