Upon arrival at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your private driver for a smooth transfer to your hotel (around 40 minutes). After check-in and a bit of rest, your Vietnam adventure kicks off with a “Real Hanoi Street Food Experience.” This private guided tour takes you deep into the heart of Hanoi’s street food culture, through hidden alleys and bustling markets of the Old Quarter. Try local favorites like pho(noodle soup), bun cha (grill pork noodle), banh cuon (Stuffed pancake), egg coffee, and more, all while gaining insight into the city’s vibrant lifestyle. Day 02 :
Cruise Through Tranquil Lan Ha Bay
Leave Hanoi in the morning for a scenic drive to Cai Beo Port. Board your boutique cruise and begin exploring the spectacular limestone karsts of Lan Ha Bay—a less crowded alternative to Ha Long Bay. Enjoy a delicious lunch onboard before kayaking or relaxing on a quiet island beach. Later, unwind on the sundeck, join a Vietnamese cooking demo, and savor a freshly prepared dinner as the boat anchors in the peaceful bay.

Day 03 :
Viet Hai Village to Cat Ba Island
Start your day with Tai Chi and coffee as you cruise toward the lush island village of Viet Hai. Explore the village by bicycle or electric cart, soaking in the rural life and jungle-fringed paths. After checking out, enjoy lunch onboard as you sail back to the port. Then, transfer to Cat Ba Island and check into your cozy homestay.

Journey to Ninh Binh

Ancient Capitals & Scenic Wonders
Start with a visit to Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital, where you’ll uncover stories of kings and dynasties. Cruise through the dramatic limestone caves of Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After cycling through rice fields and local villages, climb 500 steps to the top of Mua Cave for a panoramic view of Tam Coc. Return to Hanoi in the evening, then take an overnight sleeper train to Sapa aboard the Dream Train Express—an iconic Vietnam travel experience.

Day 06 :
Sapa Trekking Adventure Begins
Arrive early in Lao Cai and transfer to Sapa. After breakfast, begin a guided trek through Cat Cat Village and along the Muong Hoa Valley. End the day in Ta Van Village, home to the Giay ethnic minority, where you’ll enjoy a warm dinner and a cozy stay at a local homestay.

Day 07 :
Red Dao Culture & Return to Hanoi
After breakfast, continue trekking to Giang Ta Chai, home of the Red Dao people. Discover waterfalls, cross hanging bridges, and learn about local customs. After lunch, transfer back to Sapa, then take a limousine bus to Hanoi. (Note: Weekend travelers may be dropped off at a walkable location due to Old Quarter restrictions.)

Fly to Central Vietnam – Hoi An
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a short flight to Danang on Vietnam’s central coast. Upon arrival, meet your guide and drive through scenic countryside to the charming town of Hoi An. Once a thriving port, Hoi An is now famed for its lantern-lit streets and well-preserved ancient architecture. Check in to your hotel and enjoy some time to relax or explore the town’s enchanting atmosphere.

Bike & Boat Countryside Experience
Cycle through Hoi An’s peaceful countryside, visiting villages, rice fields, and a local boat-building area. Cross to Cam Thanh by boat, where you can try basket boat rowing through the coconut palms. End with a ride through Tra Que vegetable village and back to town. A hands-on way to see Vietnam’s rural life up close.

Day 10 :
Free Day in Hoi An
Enjoy a leisurely day soaking in the charm of Hoi An at your own pace. Wander through the lantern-lit alleys of the Old Town, explore lively markets, or visit tailor shops for a custom-made outfit. An Bang Beach is also nearby, offering soft sand and beachfront cafés for a relaxing escape. Whether you explore or unwind, the day is yours to enjoy.

Cu Chi Tunnels & City Landmarks
Head to Cu Chi to explore the vast network of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam War. Learn how people lived, fought, and survived in this hidden world. After lunch, return to the city to visit iconic landmarks like Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, the Reunification Palace, and the War Remnants Museum.

Explore the Mekong Delta
Venture to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta for a day of rural immersion. Cruise along palm-lined canals, visit a coconut workshop and brick factory, and enjoy a Xe Loi ride through a village. Savor a lunch of Mekong specialties and end with a tranquil sampan row through narrow canals before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Farewell Vietnam
Your 14-day Vietnam tour ends today. Your driver will transfer you to Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Be ready at least 2 hours before your international flight (or 1 hour for domestic). Safe travels and we hope to see you again!

What is the best time to do this North–to–South Vietnam tour?
You can do this tour year-round, but each region has its own seasons.
For the South (Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta), the climate is warm all year.
- Dry season (December–April): the best time, with clear skies and less humidity.
- Rainy season (May–November): usually short showers rather than full-day rain. It’s manageable and far less unpredictable than Central Vietnam during the rainy months.
Combined with North and Central Vietnam timings, we can always advise which months suit you best.
Is this a private tour, or will I be part of a group?
This is a privately arranged tour, meaning you are not traveling for two weeks with a group. Your itinerary, hotels, schedule, and overall travel plan are organized specifically for you. However, some individual services may still be shared — for example, transfers to Lan Ha Bay are often done by shared limousine van, and certain activities like the street food tour or Sapa trekking can be arranged as either private or small-group experiences depending on your preference and budget.
How difficult is the trekking in Sapa?
The trekking in Sapa is moderate. Expect a mix of rice terraces, dirt paths, and gentle slopes. Most travelers with normal fitness can handle it without training. If you prefer easier or more challenging routes, we can adjust the trekking distance and pace to suit your level.
Can I do this tour as a solo traveler?
Yes, solo travel is possible and safe across all destinations in this itinerary. The price per person is higher when traveling alone, but if it exceeds your budget, contact us — we can adjust the itinerary, include more join-in activities or transfers, and still keep most of the experience private.
Is this itinerary suitable for children or families?
Yes. This route includes a good variety of activities — cruising, light cycling, boat rides, markets, and cultural stops — so kids tend not to get bored. For very small children, we can slow down the pace, add rest days, or reduce travel time between destinations. The itinerary is flexible.
Are flights included in the tour?
Yes, domestic flights are included — specifically Hanoi to Danang and Danang to Ho Chi Minh City. International flights are not included, as guests arrive from different parts of the world. You can book your own flights or ask us for advice on the best options.
