FAQ

This is a privately arranged tour, meaning your itinerary, accommodation, and daily planning are organized specifically for you. However, some individual services may still be shared — for example, the shuttle transfer to Ha Giang or specific day tours can be operated in small groups depending on your preference and budget. You are not joining a fixed 3-week group tour.
No. There are no domestic or international flights in this itinerary. All transportation mentioned in the program — sleeper train, buses, private transfers, and local vehicles — is included. If you prefer to add flights to reduce travel time between destinations, we can advise you on the best options.
Yes. The standard option is a shared 4-berth cabin on the Dream Train Express, but you can upgrade to a fully private cabin. This gives you the entire compartment to yourself (or your travel group), offering more space, privacy, and comfort for the overnight journey to Sapa.
Sapa trekking is moderate — mostly village-to-village walking through rice terraces and small paths. Ba Be involves more forest paths, small climbs, and uneven terrain, but most travelers with basic fitness can handle both comfortably. Trekking distances and difficulty can be adjusted to your preference, from easier village walks to more demanding routes.
You can choose. The route from Ha Giang to Dong Van, Meo Vac, and Ban Gioc can be done in a comfortable car/jeep, or on the back of a motorbike with a professional Easy Rider driver. The scenery is the same — the difference is the experience. Car/jeep is more comfortable and safer for long days, while Easy Rider offers a more adventurous, immersive ride.

The best time really depends on what you want to experience. Northern Vietnam has four clear travel periods:

  • Summer (June–August): warm with more rain and muddy trails, but this is when the rice fields are at their most vibrant and waterfalls are strongest.
  • Autumn (September–November): rainfall decreases and landscapes remain lush — one of the very best periods for trekking, scenery, and photography.
  • Winter (December–January): very little rain but colder temperatures in the mountains. Still beautiful if you don’t mind cooler weather and misty mornings.
  • Spring (February–April): pleasant temperatures and stable weather, but this is late in the dry season, so waterfalls are smaller and rice fields are less full.

We can adjust the itinerary depending on your priorities — scenery, trekking comfort, or photography.
