FAQ

This itinerary covers all three climate regions of Vietnam, so different periods offer different advantages.

  • Spring (February–April): Overall the best time — all regions are in their dry season with comfortable temperatures.
  • Summer (May–August): Hot and dry in Central Vietnam; North and South have the rainy season. Showers are usually short, not all day. Trekking paths in the North can be more slippery, but rice fields and waterfalls are at their most impressive.
  • Autumn (September–November): Ideal for the North and comfortable in the South. Central Vietnam (especially Hoi An and Hue) can see heavy rain or flooding in October–November. We can shorten or adjust this section if needed.
  • Winter (December–January): Cooler in the North, warm and dry in the South, with improving conditions in Central Vietnam. Still a very good time for a slow-pace trip.
Pu Luong fits much more naturally with a route that includes Hanoi and Ninh Binh. Travel time is shorter, and you spend more time enjoying the destination instead of sitting in the car. It’s also very quiet compared to Sapa, with fewer tourists, authentic village life, and beautiful landscapes. If you prefer Sapa, we can adjust the itinerary — but most travelers are very happy with Pu Luong.
The tour as a whole is private, designed just for you (solo, couple, friends, or family). Depending on your interests and budget, some activities may be done in small groups — for example a street food tour, cycling tour, or shared transfers. But the itinerary itself is private, flexible, and arranged around your schedule.
Yes. This itinerary is already designed at a slower pace, but you can always stay longer in destinations you love. Just tell us your preferences and we’ll adjust the schedule. We can also advise based on the time of year which places are best to extend.
The domestic flight in the itinerary is included. International flights are not included. Travelers join us from all over the world, so it’s simpler and more flexible to book your international tickets yourself. If you need help finding the best routes or prices, we’re happy to advise.
No. This is a comfortable itinerary suitable for travelers with normal fitness levels, including seniors. The trekking in Pu Luong is moderate and can be shortened, extended, or even replaced with easier activities if needed. If you have specific concerns, just let us know — we can adjust the itinerary to match your pace.
