Itinerary

Begin your Vietnam adventure with a warm welcome at Ho Chi Minh City's airport, where your private driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a special introduction to Saigon with a lively dinner cruise along the Saigon River. Savor a delicious buffet, soak in the illuminated skyline, and enjoy live music performances for a memorable first night of your 1 week Southern and Central Vietnam tour.

Dinner

Start the day with a journey to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels, where you’ll learn about Vietnam’s wartime history, explore hidden trapdoors, and sample local treats like tapioca. In the afternoon, dive into Ho Chi Minh City's vibrant culture with visits to Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Post Office, Reunification Palace, War Remnants Museum, and a bustling local market before returning to your hotel.

Breakfast, Lunch

Leave the busy city behind and venture into the peaceful Mekong Delta. Cruise the waterways of Ben Tre, visit a brick factory, coconut workshop, and mat-weaving village. Enjoy a delicious riverside lunch featuring local specialties, cycle through quiet villages or ride a Xe Loi (motorized rickshaw), and glide along narrow canals by sampan boat. Return to Ho Chi Minh City filled with beautiful memories of Delta life.

Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast, a private transfer will bring you to Ho Chi Minh City's airport for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival, another driver will meet you and take you to your hotel in the charming town of Hoi An. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore the ancient streets, colorful lanterns, and riverside cafes of Hoi An at your own pace.

Breakfast

Start your morning with a guided cycling tour through the peaceful countryside of Cam Kim Island. Ride past rice fields, local workshops, and wooden boat makers before crossing to Cam Thanh Village. Here, enjoy an optional basket boat ride through the lush Bay Mau coconut forest. The journey continues through quiet farming roads and finishes in the herb-growing village of Tra Que before heading back to town.

Breakfast, Lunch

Discover the ancient ruins of My Son Sanctuary, once the spiritual heart of the Champa Kingdom. Walk among moss-covered towers dating back as far as the 4th century. Afterward, visit a local home to learn how to make traditional Vietnamese rice paper and enjoy a home-cooked lunch. The day ends with a peaceful boat ride along the Thu Bon River back to Hoi An.

Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast, transfer to Danang Airport for your flight back to Ho Chi Minh City. From there, catch your international flight home, ending your 1 week Southern and Central Vietnam tour filled with unforgettable experiences.

FAQ

Yes. The easiest way is to add one or more extra days in Hoi An, where you have beautiful beaches like An Bang and Cua Dai nearby. Depending on the time of year, we can also advise beach extensions in the South such as Mui Ne or Phu Quoc. These destinations offer better beach conditions in certain seasons but require additional travel time.
It can be, depending on the level of claustrophobia. The tunnels have been widened for visitors, but they are still narrow and may feel uncomfortable. The good news is that you can choose not to enter the tunnels. The Cu Chi site also includes outdoor exhibits such as traps, bunkers, war vehicles, and a documentary—so you can still enjoy the experience without going underground.
We use a route through Ben Tre, which is much less touristy than the classic My Tho area where most group tours go. Ben Tre focuses on small canals, local workshops, coconut farming, and authentic village life, offering a more relaxed and genuine Mekong Delta experience.
Yes, the domestic flights are included: Ho Chi Minh City to Danang and Danang to Ho Chi Minh City. International flights are not included, as travellers arrive from many different countries. We can advise on the best international flight options if needed.
Not at all. The cycling is easy and mostly flat, passing through villages, rice fields, and quiet roads. It’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels. If you are not comfortable cycling, we can replace this activity with an alternative that fits your preference.

The best overall time for this itinerary is February to September. During these months, Central Vietnam (Hoi An and My Son) enjoys warm, mostly dry weather, and the South (Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta) is comfortable for travel.

October and November are the only months we advise avoiding, as Central Vietnam can experience heavy rain and occasional flooding.

If you travel outside the ideal window, the tour is still possible. December and January are also good months — the South is in perfect dry-season condition, and Central Vietnam is cooler with less rain than in autumn. We can adjust activities or add beach alternatives in the South based on conditions.
