Itinerary
After visiting the cave, lace up for a 7–10 km jungle trek along forest trails in Ba Be National Park. The hike takes you deep into the greenery, crossing small streams and gradually climbing into more remote terrain. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your first homestay with a Dzao ethnic family — a peaceful place to relax and enjoy a home-cooked dinner.
Mr Hung’s homestay
Set in the quiet Na Nghe village, this traditional wooden stilt house showcases the distinctive architecture of the Dzao people. Guests stay in a spacious dorm-style room with access to clean, newly built bathrooms, all surrounded by a stone-paved courtyard, gardens, and a peaceful fish pond. With a large communal space, an open-air pavilion, and sweeping views of the surrounding hills, it’s a serene and authentic retreat in the northern countryside.
Your trek ends in Coc Toc, a Tay minority village on the edge of Ba Be Lake. You’ll spend the night in a traditional stilt house — simple but comfortable, and a great way to experience Tay hospitality firsthand.
Mr Linh Homestay
Tucked between Ba Be Lake and the edge of the jungle, Mr Linh’s Homestay offers a peaceful retreat with scenic views, a relaxing pool, and warm, local hospitality. The spacious rooms are designed for comfort, and guests can enjoy home-cooked meals in a serene natural setting. With on-site activities like kayaking and biking, plus easy access to trekking routes, it’s an ideal base for exploring the cultural and natural richness of Ba Be National Park.
Next, head to Tham Phay Cave — a hidden gem newly explored by adventurers. It’s accessed via a narrow jungle path and small opening. Inside, you’ll find untouched rock formations, underground streams, and a hauntingly beautiful atmosphere. A guide and full safety gear are provided for this 5 km expedition.
After the caving adventure, you’ll be welcomed back at Ba Be headquarters. Take a well-earned rest or grab a final look at the lake before the tour ends.
