Itinerary

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City between 7:30 and 8:00 AM. Meet your local guide and hop into a comfortable vehicle for the journey northwest toward Cu Chi.

On the way, make a short stop at a local lacquerware workshop. Here you can see how traditional Vietnamese handicrafts are made — a quick but interesting peek into local artistry.

After arriving in Cu Chi, you’ll begin with a short documentary film to understand the wartime context of this vast underground system. Then, follow your guide into the tunnels themselves — a maze of hidden trapdoors, narrow passageways, and secret living quarters. You’ll see how people cooked, slept, stored weapons, and even treated the wounded while hidden underground. The site also includes displays of handmade traps and weapons used during the war.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can try shooting a real AK47, M16, M30, or M60 at the nearby shooting range. This is optional and costs around 2.5 USD per bullet (minimum of 10 bullets).

Nearby, you’ll visit a rice paper-making workshop to see how this staple of Vietnamese cuisine is produced. Before leaving the Cu Chi area, try a simple snack of tapioca and tea — what guerrilla fighters used to survive during the war.

After Cu Chi, you'll head back toward the city and stop for a light Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant — simple, satisfying, and included in your tour.

In the afternoon, continue your tour with a short city sightseeing trip. You’ll pass by the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral (outside only) and visit the beautifully preserved Saigon Central Post Office. Next, step into history at the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum, both important sites for understanding Vietnam’s modern history.

If time permits, your guide may take you to a nearby local market for a quick browse. Expect colorful stalls, street snacks, and lots of local energy. You’ll then be dropped off at your hotel around 5:00 PM.
