Itinerary
Your guide will meet you at your hotel in the early morning and take you by private car to the central pier in District 1, where your boat is waiting. A great way to skip the traffic and start the day fresh.
Board a modern speedboat and cruise out of the city along the Saigon River. Within minutes, the skyline gives way to quiet riverside villages and green jungle. On board, enjoy a light breakfast with pastries or sandwiches, fresh tropical fruits, and a classic Vietnamese iced coffee. Your guide will share insights about daily life along the river as you ride upstream.
Arrive near Cu Chi and hop on a quality mountain bike (Merida, Trek, or Giant) with helmet provided. Your guide will lead you on a 20 km ride through peaceful countryside trails — far from tourist crowds and buses. Pass through rubber plantations, small farms, and local neighborhoods. You’ll also stop at a rice paper workshop and meet friendly villagers along the way. A light snack is provided at the halfway point to keep your energy up.
After your ride, dive into the fascinating history of the Cu Chi Tunnels. Walk through a preserved section of this underground wartime network and learn about how the Viet Cong lived, fought, and survived. You’ll see trap displays, hidden bunkers, weapons, and even try local cassava — the staple food during the war.
Relax after the tunnel visit with a riverside Vietnamese lunch. The set menu includes fried spring rolls, chicken and beef dishes, and a flavorful soup — a rewarding way to wrap up the active part of your day.
Board the speedboat again and enjoy a smooth, scenic ride back to the city. You’ll arrive at the central pier around 3:00 PM, where a car will take you back to your hotel.
- This tour runs year-round, but dry season (December to April) offers the most comfortable weather for biking and outdoor exploration.
- Wear light, breathable clothing and sturdy closed-toe shoes for biking. A hat and sunglasses are useful for the sun, and a light rain jacket is handy in wet season.
- Vegetarian and allergy-sensitive meals can be arranged. Please inform us in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
- Bring sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, sunglasses, and your camera. We recommend lightweight, comfortable clothing suitable for cycling.
- This tour operates daily and requires a minimum of 4 participants. Advance booking is recommended to secure your spot.
You’ll ride a high-quality mountain bike from brands like Merida, Trek, or Giant. Helmets and basic safety gear are also provided.
You can choose how much of the tunnel system you want to explore. Some parts are narrow and dark, but you’re not required to crawl inside if you’re uncomfortable.
The tour still operates in light rain, and rain ponchos are provided. The biking route is safe in most weather, but we’ll adapt the plan if conditions aren’t suitable.
This tour is best for adults or older children (age 12+) who are confident cyclists. For families with younger kids, we recommend contacting us for a private version or alternative tour.
