Itinerary

Welcome to Vietnam! Upon landing at Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel in the historic Old Quarter.

After check-in and some time to relax, your evening kicks off with a guided Hanoi street food and Train Street tour at 18:00 PM, where you’ll taste your way through bustling markets and local favorites like pho (noodle soup), banh cuon (steamed rolled rice pancake), bun cha, egg coffee, and more. This is the perfect introduction to Vietnamese culture and flavors.

Dinner

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up at your hotel for a full-day city tour. First stop is Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest pagoda located on West Lake. From there, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex, where you can see the preserved body of Ho Chi Minh, walk around the peaceful gardens, and explore the stilt house he lived in. You'll also visit the unique One Pillar Pagoda, shaped like a lotus flower.

Breakfast

Next, head to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to learn about Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups through fascinating displays of traditional clothing, tools, and houses.

12:30 PM :
Lunch break

Enjoy an 8-dish Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant — a great intro to the country’s rich food culture.

Lunch

After lunch, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, dating back to the 11th century. Then continue to Ngoc Son Temple, located on an island in Hoan Kiem Lake, dedicated to national hero Tran Hung Dao.

The tour wraps up and you’ll return to the hotel to relax or explore on your own.

Your driver will pick you up early for the luxury limousine bus to Sapa. The journey takes about 5.5 hours with two short breaks along the way. You’ll arrive in Sapa town around noon, just in time for lunch.

Lunch, Breakfast

your local guide will lead you on a trek through the stunning Muong Hoa Valley. The route winds through hills, bamboo forests, and some of the most impressive rice terraces in Vietnam. You’ll pass through Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai, home to the Black Hmong people, before reaching Ta Van Village, where you’ll stay overnight. If the season’s right, you might see rice planting or harvesting along the way.

At the homestay, enjoy a homemade dinner with your host family. There is a chance to join in a simple cooking session — a great way to learn about local ingredients and customs.

Dinner

Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy a local breakfast. Today’s trek takes you deeper into the mountains to Giang Ta Chai Village, inhabited by the Red Dao people. You’ll cross a hanging bridge, pass waterfalls, and visit a Red Dao household to learn more about their traditions.

Breakfast

Break for lunch at a local Hmong-run restaurant in the village, with beautiful views of the surrounding hills.

Lunch

After lunch, return to Sapa town and hop on the limousine bus back to Hanoi around 2:30 PM. The ride takes about 5.5 hours with rest stops. You’ll be dropped off at the Hanoi Esplendor Hotel in the evening.

7:45 – 8:30 AM :
Transfer to Halong Bay

You’ll be picked up by shuttle or limousine bus. After a mid-way rest stop, arrive at Ha Long International Cruise Port around 12:30 PM. Have a tea or coffee while waiting to board your boat.

Board your cruise and settle into your cabin. You’ll get a short safety briefing and then enjoy a set lunch as the boat cruises into the quieter waters of Bai Tu Long Bay.

Lunch

Arrive at Cap La Island, a peaceful spot surrounded by limestone karsts. Go kayaking, take a swim, or just relax on deck.

Return to the boat for sunset drinks and a Vietnamese dinner at 7:00 PM. The evening is free for games, cocktails, squid fishing, or simply enjoying the calm of the bay.

Dinner

Start the day with a Tai Chi session on deck, followed by breakfast. Then head out to explore Thien Canh Son Cave, a quiet cave with stalactites and nice bay views. You’ll also have time to relax on a small beach at Hon Co Island.

Breakfast

Return to the boat, check out, and join a traditional cooking class before enjoying a final Vietnamese lunch on board.

FAQ

Is the Sapa trekking suitable for beginners?

Yes. The trekking is moderate and manageable for most travelers in decent shape. Daily distances range from 8–15 km, but the pace is relaxed and guided. If you're unsure, we can adapt the route to suit your comfort level.

Can I store my large luggage during the Sapa trek?

Yes. You can leave your main luggage at our base in Hanoi and bring only what you need for the homestay and trek. A small backpack is ideal for the overnight stay in Ta Van.

Is the Halong Bay cruise route crowded?

No. This tour includes Bai Tu Long Bay, which is a quieter alternative to the main Halong Bay route. You’ll enjoy fewer boats, more peaceful scenery, and just as much beauty.

Can I extend the tour or customize it?

Yes! Let us know if you'd like to add days, change the order, or include extra destinations like Ninh Binh or Ha Giang. We can adjust the itinerary to fit your travel plans.

Can children join this tour?

Children are welcome, especially if they enjoy soft adventure. The Sapa trekking might be too long for very young kids, but we can shorten routes or arrange alternative activities.

What happens if it rains during the trekking or cruise?

Both the trek and cruise run in light to moderate rain. Bring a rain jacket just in case. If conditions become unsafe (which is rare), we’ll adjust the plan and offer alternatives.
