Itinerary

Your evening begins at 18:00 when your guide picks you up at your hotel in central Ho Chi Minh City. After a quick introduction and check-in, you’ll start exploring the lively streets of District 1 on foot.

Head into the backstreets and hidden corners of Saigon where real local life happens. Your guide will lead you to tucked-away stalls and family-run eateries — places most travelers would never find alone.

Throughout the walk, you’ll stop at several food stalls to sample classic Vietnamese dishes like fresh spring rolls, banh mi, and either beef or chicken noodle soup. Everything is freshly prepared and locally loved.

Dinner

Wrap up your food crawl with a Vietnamese dessert and a local drink — maybe a sweet soup, coconut treat, or sugarcane juice, depending on the day. It’s a laid-back way to finish off a night of eating and walking.

Around 21:30, your guide will arrange a taxi (if needed) to take you back to your hotel. You’ll end the night full, happy, and with a better understanding of Saigon’s street food culture.

FAQ

Is the food safe to eat?

We carefully select clean, reputable street food stalls with high turnover and fresh ingredients. If you have a sensitive stomach, let us know — we can suggest milder options.

Will we sit down to eat or just eat on the go?

Most stops include a chance to sit down, relax, and enjoy your food. Some tastings are quick bites eaten standing at the stall — just like locals do.

How many dishes will we try during the tour?

You’ll try a variety of dishes, typically 4–5 savory items plus a local dessert and drink. The amount is usually enough for a full dinner.

How much walking is involved?

Expect a gentle walk of around 2–3 km in total, with frequent stops. It’s an easy pace suitable for most people.

Can children join the tour?

Yes, children are welcome. It’s a fun and family-friendly way to explore local food culture. Let us know their food preferences in advance.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. A small bag, water bottle, and some cash for extras are helpful.

What happens if it rains during the tour?

The tour runs in light rain — just bring a small umbrella or rain jacket. In case of severe weather, we’ll contact you about rescheduling.
