Hotel pick-up in Hue

Your day begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in central Hue. You'll meet your local guide, get fitted with a comfortable bicycle, and head off toward the peaceful outskirts of the city.

Pedal through scenic backroads lined with rice paddies, duck ponds, and grazing water buffalo. Along the way, you’ll stop at cultural landmarks like a village temple, local pagoda, Catholic church, and a bustling market—each one offering a glimpse into everyday life in central Vietnam. One of the highlights is visiting a traditional house to see how rice paper is made by hand, a simple but essential part of many Vietnamese meals.

Arrive at a small family-run vegetable farm and join the host in picking fresh herbs and greens straight from the garden. After harvesting, you’ll head to the open-air kitchen to prepare a local meal using your ingredients. It’s a relaxed, hands-on cooking experience that gives you a deeper look into home-style Vietnamese cuisine.

Sit down to enjoy the meal you helped prepare—fresh, local, and full of flavor. After lunch, unwind with a warm herbal foot bath and a gentle massage, a comforting countryside tradition that gives your legs a break after the ride.

Visit a local craftsperson who decorates Vietnam’s iconic conical hats (nón lá). You’ll learn how the designs are made and get a chance to paint your own hat as a colorful souvenir. Feel free to get creative—many guests add images inspired by their day in the countryside.

After a laid-back and inspiring day, it’s time to head back to Hue. Sit back and relax during the short car ride, returning to your hotel around 3:30 PM.
