  • Phong Nha has two main seasons, with the dry period from February to August offering the best conditions for cave visits, boat trips, and jungle scenery. From April to July, temperatures rise, but visibility inside the caves is excellent and outdoor activities operate normally. The rainy season from September to January can bring heavy rain and rising river levels, which may affect access to some caves and boat routes. Winter months are cooler and less humid but also more prone to weather-related closures. For most custom itineraries, the long dry season provides the most reliable opportunities for cave exploration.
